Since 1974, we are working on the development and construction of composite materials products. More than 46 years of experience and know-how accumulated Rodman placed in a position of leadership in the composites industry.

Rodman Lusitania, strategically located in the North of Portugal and a few km from the border with Spain has 600,000 m2, divided into two buildings and an office center. The nave, with dimensions of 180 mx 90 m is the largest in Portugal in the sector and one of the largest in the Iberian Peninsula.

Our background has always gone hand in hand for the development and implementation of new materials and technology, which have been incorporated into our manufacturing processes.

Given the characteristics of the project and defined its specification, it is designed, the model is produced, the mold occurs and the part is manufactured. We use CAD / CAM systems and more appropriate if necessary proceed to finite element analysis (FEA).

Our engineers and process development, study and analyze carefully the correct relationship between the choice of materials used, the design of parts and different manufacturing processes implemented to ensure that the end result meets the demands and requirements our client.

We implement a variety of transformation processes of composites: Light RTM, Infusion and Hand Lay-up prepregs.

Choosing appropriate materials and processes, it is performed in accordance with required design criteria, failing an objective specification, quality, environmental, cycle time and costs established.

The marine industry has been one of the sectors that has developed over the use of composite materials. Today, in the construction of boats up to 40 meters in length, it is essential the use of composites.

By Advanced Composites by Rodman, born from the expereince of 40 years, using these materials to build all kinds of vessels, from patrol boats 30 m high-speed racing boats, work boats, pleasure yachts or up to 24 m.

Today Advanced Composites By Rodman designs and produces models and molds for Rodman, and other companies in the shipbuilding sector, which do not have these capabilities internally.
