When it comes to Novatec Safety, only one word can best describe it:uncompromised. Drawing upon its over three decades of experience in building luxury yachts, military patrol boats, and actual boating experience, safety has always been the priority when a yacht is designed and built.
Novatec employs redundancy, quality, and oversized fittings to assure trouble-free cruising, including: UL approved bronze thru hull fittings and oversized 316 grade stainless steel safety rails and cleats. In addition, to achieve the very same goal, Novatec installs only the best possible branded component, including: Onan generators, Side Power thrusters, Marine Air air-condition, Lewmar Windlass, Tides dripless shaft and rudder seals, Aqualoy shafts, Teleflex steering system, Victron battery chargers, Rule bilge pumps, Sea-Fire fire extinguisher and CO detector system, Jabsco engine ventilation system, and Aqua Signal navigation lights.
To further ensure that each component is installed properly, a designated technician with over 20 years of experience actually does the installations rather than mere supervising.
Photo 1: Structure-Structure-wise, we use the same top quality DIABDivinycell structure foam core materials that leading yacht builders use with composite mat/roven during hull and deck sandwich concept lamination to increase structural strength while reducing weight. In addition, the more expensive vinylester resin is used during the first three layers of lamination to prevent the chance for future blisters.
Photo 2: Monitoring System-At the helm station, a boat shaped monitoring panel with high bilge water alarm is installed to display essential information of the boat status and alert owners to respond instantly in the event of hazardous situation. In addition, an emergency battery parallel switch is installed to link both engine batteries and help start both engines in case the battery of one of the engines is failing.
Photo 3: Automatic Fire Extinguishing System-The Sea-Fire fire automatic extinguisher system not only self discharge in the event of fire, it also immediately shuts down the operation of the engine and generator to minimize further damage. Moreover, manual discharge at the helm station and multiple portable extinguishers throughout the boat are also installed for extra protection.
Photo 4: Tank Test and Pre-delivery Service (PDS)-As much as we like to trust theoretic and mathematical calculations and analysis, there is no better solution to understand the boat than an actual tank test. Therefore, each boat goes through a rigorous tank test and comprehensive safety check before the boat is shipped. In addition, before the boat is delivered to the customer, a PDS (Pre-delivery Service) is carried out to once again ensure the owner receives the boat optimal condition.
